Zip-up Hoodie video tutorial
And action...
In our video sewing- tutorial we are showing exactly how to sew the kangaroo pocket with cuff fabric.
You will also learn how to sew the zipper. The special feature here: We will work with an interfacing.
The interfacing is covering the zipper same as the seam of the hood and the hem, so that the inside of your jacket looks tidy.
Also you can see how to sew the hood with a drawstring.
The hoodie is quite comfortable and designed for sweater or french terry. If you are not sure about the right measurement, its the best to compare with a snugy sweater jacket which is made of the same materials and use the final measurements which you can find in the pattern file. With our pattern "Janice" you can sew the zip-up hoodie for women from sizes DE 32 - 54, UK 6 - 28, US 4 - 26.
With your choice of fabric you can let become your sweater jacket a real eyecatcher.
As a special feature I used here, is that I was sewing a folded stripe of cuff fabric in between the seam of the raglan sleeve.
But also our guys won`t be missed.
For you we have the pattern „Jordan“ from size S - XXXL. Click on the button below to go directly to the pattern:
Same as the women counterpart this jacket is really comfortable and an everyday allrounder.
Designhighligt: Collegenumbers
Here you can perfectly use the college- numbers which are included as an applique pattern in our sewing pattern "Tom".
You can sew the kangaroo pocket openings with a cuff fabric or you fold it to the inside and fix it with a cover stitch or the twin needle stitch.
I am super curious how do you like the patterns and the tutorial video and I am excited to read you feedback in the comments below.
By the way, those cool pictures of the guys were taken by our former trainee and blogger Svenja - many thanks to you.
Happy sewing!
