Payment methods

Here's how you can pay:

PayPal

You'll be redirected to PayPal, where you sign in and confirm the payment. Inside PayPal you can choose as usual whether to pay from your PayPal balance, by direct debit or by credit card. Once you're done, you'll come back to our shop automatically. Your bank and card details stay with PayPal – we never see them.

Credit card (Visa, Mastercard)

You enter your card details on the last step of the checkout. Depending on your bank, you may then confirm the payment once more in your banking app (3-D Secure). The amount is charged straight away, and we don't store your card details.

Apple Pay

You pay with the card stored in Apple Pay and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. Available on Apple devices that have Apple Pay set up.

Google Pay

You pay with the card stored in Google Pay and confirm the payment directly in Google Pay.

Pay by Bank

You pay straight from your online banking: you'll be redirected to your bank and approve an instant bank transfer there. The money is on its way immediately and your order is processed right away. You don't enter any account details with us. Your bank needs to support instant transfers – which is now mandatory for banks across the euro area.

Bank transfer (payment in advance)

After you place your order, we'll show you our bank details and a payment reference – and send you both by email. You then make the transfer yourself. As soon as your payment arrives, we release your downloads or ship your order. Depending on your bank, this takes one to two working days. Your order is already binding once you receive the order confirmation – even though nothing will appear to happen in your customer account until your payment arrives.

TWINT (Switzerland only)

If you live in Switzerland, you can pay with TWINT. Prices are shown in euros, but your account is charged in Swiss francs. The conversion uses the exchange rate at the time of payment, so the franc amount may differ slightly from the euro amount.

Who processes your payment

All payments except PayPal are processed securely by our payment service provider Mollie B.V. (Amsterdam, Netherlands). PayPal payments run through PayPal as before. You'll find more on this in our privacy policy and our terms and conditions.

Which payment methods are available when?

For orders containing only PDF sewing patterns, every payment method is available. As soon as your basket contains an item that ships by post – fabrics, sewing supplies or paper patterns – we ship within Germany only, and TWINT is no longer offered.
